It is called micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) in foreign countries, which generally refers to electromechanical integrated products with a geometric size of no more than 1cm3, and is developing towards the micron and nanometer levels. Micro electro mechanical integration products have incomparable advantages in biomedicine, military, information and other aspects due to their small size, low energy consumption and flexible movement. The bottleneck of the development of MEMS integration lies in the micromachining technology. The processing of MEMS integration products adopts fine processing technology, namely ultra precision technology, which includes photolithography technology and etching technology.

The development of industry has brought great changes to people's lives. On the one hand, it is rich in material and comfortable in life; On the other hand, the resources have decreased and the ecological environment has been seriously polluted. Therefore, people call for protecting environmental resources and returning to nature. The concept of green products came into being under this call, and greening is the trend of the times. In the life process of design, manufacture, use and destruction, green products meet the specific requirements of environmental protection and human health, are harmless or do little harm to the ecological environment, and have a very high utilization rate of resources. The design of green mechatronics products has a bright future. The greening of mechatronics products mainly means that they do not pollute the ecological environment when used and can be recycled after scrapping.

One of the characteristics of systematization is that the system architecture further adopts open and modular bus structure. The system can be flexibly configured, cut and combined arbitrarily, and seek to realize coordinated control and comprehensive management of multiple subsystems at the same time. The second performance is that the communication function is greatly enhanced. Generally, in addition to RS232, RS485 and DCS are personalized. In the future, mechatronics will pay more attention to the relationship between products and people. The personification of mechatronics has two meanings. On the first level, the ultimate user of mechatronics products is people. How to endow mechatronics products with human intelligence, emotion and humanity is becoming more and more important, especially for domestic robots, the high-level realm is man-machine integration. The other layer is to imitate biological mechanism (i.e. bionics) and develop various electromechanical products. In fact, many mechatronics products are developed inspired by animals.
